
In science, we are continuing to investigate the many aspects of water. At this time, we are observing evaporation rates in different locations and determining if surface area affects evaporation. We will also study condensation.

In each guided reading group, we are responding to MAP-like questions that focus on problem-solution, context clues, story elements, inferencing, and evaluating text.

Our class is responding to writing prompts in a clear and effective way. We are making sure our paragraphs are focused, well written with transitions, details, and include appealing introductions and conclusions.

In math, we just finished our unit on decimals. Unit five focuses on estimation.

Once again, during this AR period, your child has the opportunity to become a Non-Fiction Knock-out. The requirement this period is to read two books about different states that make-up our country.

Please read with your child for twenty minutes each night and record the needed information on your child's weekly reading log. Reading together is the best gift you can give your child. Your help is very much appreciated!
