Welcome to the Vocal Music/Drama website.  The vocal music program consists of two choirs presently with a third added for next year.  Students sing a variety of music and study musiciansip skills. The choirs perform in the community and participate in the Six Flags Music Festival in May.  There are also solo and small ensemble opportunities for choir members who want to experience a different type of performing. October is the District Choir concert at Pattonville High School where all of the elementary, middle, and high school choir students perform. These choirs are not auditioned.

The drama program is primarily one drama class per semester open to all students. Students present a speech and work on diction, volume, and stage presence skills.  Students learn basic acting skills, present poetry readings, story telling, and reader's theater.  Students also learn and perform monologues and perform small scenes in class.  A unit of improv is at the end of the semester.

Pattonville Heights presents a fall production of a play.  Auditions are open to all students.  This production does require a small production fee and students are required to attend all scheduled practices and performances.  Parents help out with food for the long rehearsals.  Please see Best of the West photos to view last year's production.

Chinese Take-Out is an auditioned improv group.  This group practices weekly and presents one or two shows yearly.  Chinese Take Out also hosts the Variety Show at the end of May.

The Variety Show is usually in the morning of the last day of school.  All students are encouraged to audition.  We need singers, dancers, magicians, actors, gymnastic routines,  comedy routines and any other entertaining act.  Audtions are held in early May.
