Class rules and needs |
Today and tomorrow we will be reviewing classroom expectations. Students are expected to come to class with three main ideas in mind: 1) be respectful: treat others the way you would wish to be treated, be courteous, patient, and understanding, 2) be responsible: take care of your own problems, don't worry about what others are doing, make good decisions and be honest, 3) be ready: have proper materials, be on time, and focus on instruction.
As far as materials are concerned, students must have at least two pencils with erasers, three sheets of paper, and their textbook for every class. Workbooks will be kept in the classroom, so students will often not need to take these items home.
Students who do not bring required items to class will initially lose privileges and may eventually lose extra credit points.
All textbooks must have book covers by the second full week of school.

NWEA testing will take place soon at Heights. All modern language classes will take on a a slower pace during this time due to a modified schedule. Most classes will only meet every other day, on average, for the next two weeks. Please contact Mr. Benbow with any questions. |

World Languages Survey |
All 7th and 8th grade students completed a language survey today in order to better identify positive correlations between study habits and success in a foreign language. 6th grade students completed a Latin American geography quiz. Retakes will be tomorrow during breakfast. |

All classes have resumed work where they left off before break. Level 1A is starting the second half of Chapter 2 and Level 1B is beginning work in Chapter 4. I also have a new group of sixth graders for Comparative Cultures. Due to the short week and and a snow day, we will begin a normal shedule with daily updates next week. Thank you! |
